Cuba Day 5, Tuesday September 4, 2012
Cienfuegos - this was easily one of the prettiest, cleanest cities we visited. Everything was very well maintained and seemed to be in good repair. UNESCO???

This is the teatro Tomas Terry, built in the late 1800's, is a 950 seat theatre, it is still in use. It has a removable floor - that was remarkable, because it was the same floor if I'm not mistaken. This theatre is across from Parque Marti. |

Dorothy from NYC - she was such a positive person. I happy to have met her. |
Cecelia and Tomas - sitting in one of the box seats of the theatre. |

This is the Palacio de Valle in Cienfuegos. Another mediocre government meal. But the Moorish architecture here is beautiful. |
Spectacular moorish carvings in the Palacio de Valle. |
This is a Morris Minor, a British car from the late 1940's. I thought it was a modified VW bug. Ken Wilson immediately knew what this was and schooled me the car's history. |
Paladar La Moraleja. YUM! This is the lime daiquiri. This is one of the 'private' restaurants. It was hands down the best meal we had while here. So much so, we went back! |
Decor was lovely, service was great.... power went out. Momentarily! Behind Marsha is a wine rack she and Meghann fell in love with. It was beautiful. |
Excited about our meal! |
